Privacy Policy

What We Collect
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use WhatsMyTools. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may log standard server information such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and performance purposes. This data is managed by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy.
What We Don't Collect
WhatsMyTools does not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use. There are no logins, no profiles, and no user databases.
All tools run entirely in your browser. When you check your password strength, test your webcam, format JSON, or use any other tool, the data you enter stays on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers. The only exceptions are network-detection tools (like IP address lookup and DNS server check) that inherently require a server request — and even then, we don't log or store the results.
Cookies & Local Storage
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These are first-party cookies managed by GA4.
We store your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie and is never sent to any server.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage analytics
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection
- ipinfo.io — IP geolocation data for network tools (IP address, DNS server, ISP lookup)
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
