How it works
Unix timestamps represent the number of seconds (or milliseconds) since January 1, 1970 00:00:00 UTC, known as the Unix epoch. This tool uses JavaScript's built-in Date object for all conversions. Timestamps larger than 10¹¹ are automatically detected as milliseconds. The current timestamp updates every second via setInterval. All processing happens entirely in your browser.
